    I didn’t for ages but I finally went over to it this roll out after I found the new Disqus to be clunky.
    I kind of miss the way you could just reply in a mail with Disqus but since using Livefyre I’ve been pretty happy. For the timebeing.

       @jonbuscall

      I am a fan of being able to reply by email. That is a feature that I have always found to be useful, but I haven’t felt any significant loss by not having it.

      Never know what the future holds, all sorts of interesting things can happen.

    I like it.

    Not for all the technical reasons but for the fact that they make it very, very easy for a tech challenged individual who just wants to engage. That is it for me. Now I have to say, I made a choice to go with Livefyre on a whim but I am glad I did.

    Lots of sites use CL and I have never had a problem but what’s awesome about Livefyre is you cal call out your friends like @TheJackB  or @DannyBrown who still needs to meet me for a pint The Embassy on Tuesday (hint, hint) or @JudyDunn who I need to visit (virtually of course) and my bud CraigMcBreen who hopefully gets tweeted and who could forget @bdorman264 who isn’t even on Livefyre but gets it anyway. He’s THAT guy…..

      If you are happy with it and feel like it meets your needs you are two steps ahead of quite a few people.

      I like how easy it is to engage users who might not initially be part of the conversation but are called to join in.

         @TheJackB  @DannyBrown  @JudyDunn  CraigMcBreen  @bdorman264 I agree. And it was that easy. 😉

       @rdopping  Where’s the Embassy? 🙂

    I actually like livefyre, once you are signed up it’s pretty easy to use and you have a good overview of the conversation. It does I imagine cause a bit of a problem for some when they need to sign up and probably loose some of the visitor comments because of that. But most things today need you to sign up for so it’s nothing that bothers me much. I have not experienced that it slows down sites, but it wont work if you block scripts and such in you’re browser. It shows you signed in and displays the comments but won’t allow you to comment if you have anything like that blocked. /JD

    A comment platform is either easy to use and likable by your READERS… or it sucks. Whether or not you do something about a sucking comment solution on your blog is either a personal or technical problem. [grin]

    Late to the party here. I switched to Livefyre, switched back to CL because some readers missed the guest sign-in option, then came back to LF when they included guest sign-in w/their latest version. But, at the end of the day, I just realized that I can’t please everyone. I do notice that with the guest option, some of my low-tech writer types (who I love to death because I am one of them!) had problems knowing how to use it. Another video in the works, I guess. Basically, I’m loving being back with Livefyre. As Danny said, we all find what works best for us.

       @JudyDunn
      Hi Judy,

      It is impossible to please everyone and I am too much of a curmudgeon to try. But I suppose it is probably reasonable to try to do the best you can to make it easy which is part of why I opened up the floor to everyone.

      Overall I think I am pleased with Livefyre. I think it has added some energy to the comment section here and helped to build community. The low tech types will catch up with us.

       @JudyDunn Low-tech is cool…….

    Good as any I suppose; I haven’t found any that just drive me away. @HowieSPM is the most difficult because I can never see the numbers in verification box; I’m not sure who he uses.

    Who did you say you were humping?

    Good luck on your trip.

    • TheJackB June 21, 2012 at 3:37 pm

       @bdorman264 Howie uses Captchas because he is with the other guys. Actually I still use their platform for two of my blogs.

      I didn’t say who I was humping now, yesterday or later- but stay tuned because things can turn on a dime here.

    NO!!! I DO not like it. Because…. of….
    1- I have been unable to comment on several sites which had livefyre.
    2- I don’t like logging in.
    3- I know several people who don’t have blogs who said they don’t want to leave comments on sites where they have to logon. Makes sense.
    4-  It slows my site down.
    5- It also has dofollow comments. Do follow is not good for google link juice. For me that is important because i am trying to rank for certain keywords.
    5- i hate the name
    6- i have to hate something
    7- that’s it.

    i’m already signed up for your newsletter. 🙂

       @AnnieAndreHacks Hi Annie,

      I appreciate the feedback. This is one of those areas that I agonize over a little bit. At the moment my gut feeling is that it is really good at promoting conversations among commenters and encouraging people to return.

      But I do think there are some clunky aspects. I have heard about issues that prevent people from commenting and I miss the links that come from comments with CL. I think ti is nice to see a preview of posts from other bloggers.

      Had I not gotten crushed with spam I probably would have let CL continue along. My understanding is that LF 3.0 is going to address some of these concerns. We shall see.

      • DannyBrown June 21, 2012 at 4:34 am

         @TheJackB @AnnieAndreHacks It’s down to the blogger as to whether you have to log in or not – livefyre offers guest commenting as well.

        With regards do-follow, CL offers the same option unless you turn it off.

        I also find moderation a lot simpler with Livefyre, especially the new Livefyre 3.0 dashboard. And, I have to say, with the new comment widget, commenting is much more fun and intuitive! 🙂

           @DannyBrown  @AnnieAndreHacks  livefyre

          I do like the new moderation dashboard. It is much easier to use than the prior one.

          They haven’t moved me over yet to the new commenting widget. I am anxious to see what sort of impact it has over here. I expect it to be positive.

    I like comment luv better for the seo. I’ve noticed that livefyre may have dropped some of my comments. Or you didn’t like what I was saying. [laughing]

    • TheJackB June 20, 2012 at 11:15 pm

       @Faryna I think LF may have dropped a few comments here and there. There are a lot of good things about CL so it is always possible that I could reactivate it.

      But for the time being I am leaning towards continuing with LF, We’ll see. Some of it depends on the feedback.

      I appreciate your sharing your thoughts.

    • AnnieAndreHacks June 20, 2012 at 11:18 pm

       @Faryna I have communt luv. I like comment luv because it shows the latest blog post of the commentor (if they have a blog). I really like that and i’ve met lots of new people that way. For me that is a big plus. whereas livefyre has… what does it have?  Maybe livefyre is good for people in the marketing space?  Not sure. I’m just rambling.

      • DannyBrown June 21, 2012 at 4:31 am

         @AnnieAndreHacks If you have a Livefyre account, and enabled on your blog, then you can have backlinks which are their version of CL.

        I was a big fan of CL (I bought CLP license) but the inane and spammy comments just to get a link were a pain in the ass.

        For me, there’s no comparison – LF is the best comment system bar none. But, then again, that’s why we all have different tastes. 🙂
