Challenges in Life
I thought that I would test out playing music in the background that I think is appropriate to words I post, so I posted to AudioBlogger and played 2 minutes worth of the theme to Rocky, but it doesn’t seem to want to allow text and the audio in the same post. I suspect that the way to get around that would be to post the audio and then write whatever I wanted in the comments.
Not a huge deal, but I thought that it might be kind of fun to share my thoughts and the music that accompanies them. Here is my iTunes library. It is incomplete, I own about 400 CDs, countless tapes and a ton of albums:

Obviously this is not a complete list, there are lots of other songs/artists/albums that are very meaningful to me. The list above contains a collection of tunes that I enjoy for various reasons. I am in the process of dropping in songs from my collection so that I can enjoy MP3 versions of all of my music, but it is quite a task and the kids seem to need my attention. 😉
Anyway, the point of this post changed and I lost my muse. I’ll have to come back to it later. Drats. Besides it is time for the midnight feeding. Tomorrow morning will be tough. Oh well.

I have been listening to X for years. Not too many people outside of LA seem to know about them now. Secret World is very cool. I have some old Genesis with Peter still at the helm, but I do prefer his solo stuff.
And Bruce, well I can’t think of a time in which I haven’t enjoyed listening to him. He is really in tune with so many life experiences.

Jack – We have a lot in common when it comes to music. You are a bit more of a romantic than I, though. My favorite song these days is Secret World by Peter Gabriel. I’m also huge Bruce fan. I’ve seen him live 8 times. And I thought I was the only person in the world who still likes X.

Ray Charles put on a great show. I saw him 5 times and never felt robbed or cheated as I have at the concerts of some other performers.
High energy and great music just made it great.

Not bad, Jack. I LOVE all of the Springsteen songs (but where’s Born to Run)? Ray Charles is just great and A Song for You for has always been one of my favorites. Johnny Cash is one of my favorites. I always liked that Arlo Guthrie song about New Orleans, too. America is ok (Neil Diamond), but he has so many better songs like:

From the list you posted, I like 11 of those songs.
I have a variety of CD’s as well. Some of my favs are Abba, Billy Joel, Chicago , Olivia Newton John, BeeGee’s, Anything Disco..to name a few.
When I’m on the computer, I log onto to Live365 and listen to the 70’s tunes. I have it running in the background as I surf the web. Really makes it enjoyable, and those tunes transport me back to a wonderful time in my life !
