It’s funny. When I started my blog last June, my passion and purpose was to encourage more dads to be more hands on with their kids. That was basically my mission statement.

However, as time went by, I noticed my blogs became less and less about parenting, and more about a whole bunch of other stuff as well. I thought this was strange…and I was pretty hard on myself for straying so far so often. However, another blogger friend told me that it’s normal. Uh-huh.

So, I feel this post. We shouldn’t be self limiting…BUT we need to stick with the theme more the most part.

My first thought was that even though you might be a “daddy blogger” , nobody is just a dad or a mom. Maybe you’ve just given yourself permission to express your well-roundedness to your readers where others haven’t because they want the purer definition of what a daddy blogger writes about. Anyways, those are my two cents! I think it would be a shame if we all became so self-limiting!

      Hi Betsy,

I think we put more limits on ourselves than we should. It is up to us to determine what we can do and how to make it happen.

I really admire daddies who blog. It’s really rare to have them sharing their thoughts a lot of informative posts for us to read. So, keep it up. 🙂
