Oracle, PeopleSoft to Merge in $10.3B Deal

” SAN FRANCISCO – Ending 18 months of bad blood, Oracle Corp. raised its takeover bid for bitter rival PeopleSoft Inc. by 10 percent to seal a $10.3 billion deal that will create the world’s second largest maker of business applications software.”

Wow, this has been a long time coming. Now we’ll see if this is good for competition or if another behemoth has been created, one so large that it does not have to listen to customer complaints and crtitcism.
