” WASHINGTON – President Bush (news – web sites) has succeeded in opening the checkbooks of five federal departments to religious organizations. Now he’s setting his sights on money doled out by the states.”

It is time for me to start my own gig, the church of Jack’s Shack. We daven 3 times a day and refuse to work on the Sabbath. Does that make me qualified to receive a small federal grant of $350,000 so that we can refurbish our current facility.

I find it all reprehensible. I work in Workforce Development…and a lot of the funds we channeled last year went to faith-based groups. Most did little to nothing to earn it. It was a W-gimme.
