This is actually a PC World story that is running on Yahoo! in their tech section. I found it to be interesting because we are witnessing the development and evolution of policy regarding Internet and email usage.
It is a whole new world and you need to expect that whatever you do is being monitored. It feels a little “icky” because it is very “big brotherish” but it is the way things are.
So do yourself a favor and remember to take the IT Team and Network Admins out to lunch. Don’t forget to say hi to them either, they can be a good friend to you. 😉

It’s because they really just want to equate everything down to a metric that can be charted, and improved upon. Every millisecond accounted for… Just like Nike and the Gap figuring out that a sweatshop worker can sew a shirt in 6 seconds. Brave new world indeed, but we won’t be alphas or betas.
