    Sorry Z,

I don’t buy any of your argument. The US is most certainly not on it’s knees and Islamic terror is not running rampant throughout the world, even though it may appear to be.

The world cannot afford to let the US go under, it won’t happen. I don’t say that because I am a “rah-rah” type of guy, but because our fingers are in pies everywhere. If the US economy takes a hit so does everyone else.

The US is basically a superpower with borrowed money, so yes, their downfall would take all it’s foreign investors with them. Europe, asia will all plunge into deep recession.

Is osama’s strategy really that delusional? Thanks to 9/11 military expenditures have reached such astronomic heights that it sucks almost the entire economy dry. The war in iraq did not nothing to counter islamic terrorism, but what it did do was usurp such amounts of money that the military complex seems to be the only profitable business left standing. People losing their jobs faster than snow melting in front of the sun with only few people, the aristocrats surrounding bush, making massive profits.Ofcourse the brilliant measure of bush to solve this with a tax-cut for the richest 1% didn’t help that much either.

What we see her i think is a superpower in decline. This is mostly due to the abuse of military hegemony that has come to a complete standstill in the iraqi desert. What if a real threat arised? The US army is so stretched that it is impossible deal with it appropriately. The costs of war and the absence of solution are so high that even with scrapping all domestic social programs the national deficit and shortage on trade balance will most certainly lead to inflation of the dollar. It’s regrettable that the US is losing it’s global domination because it’s losing it to a dictatorship as china.

I find it amazing how one man is capable of bringing an entire superpower on it’s knees. And not because of what that one man did, but because how the superpower reacted on one of his attacks, in the most self-destructable way.
