The Music Played While You are On "Hold"

I don’t know if this has happened to you, but it is something that I have encountered numerous times that goes something like this. I telephone someone at a business and am put on “hold” where I am entertained with music. Sometimes the music is lousy, some stupid, overplayed song like “Mandy” or something similar.

But often there is a song that I really like and I am just starting to get into it when I am rudely taken off of “hold” and forced to speak with someone. Don’t they know that I am busy listening to something much more interesting. What is wrong with these people. Harrumph.
