I am a prolific blogger. I pump out a substantial amount of content, or so it seems to me. In the seven months or so that I have been blogging I have produced more than 1000 posts. More importantly I have found a medium of expressing myself that I am very happy with, enamored is more like it.
In the course of producing the content that fills in the white spaces here I have created some posts that are simply dreadful and some that I am very proud of. Some of what I have shared here has never been heard by anyone, it is incredibly personal stuff that I feel comfortable putting out there, mostly because this feels safe to me.
My blog is my home, it is a place that I walk around in shorts and a tanktop (my favorite dress) and let it all hang out. There is an honesty here that is not seen by many, that is not to suggest that I am dishonest, rather that this is where I say everything that is on my mind, there is no holding back.
The primary purpose of this blog is for me to learn about myself, to better understand Jack, to search for peace of mind regarding those areas of life that I find unsettling, to share secrets and to just be me. Jack’s Shack is my refuge, my fortress of solitude, a fraternity house, children’s playroom, airplane, schoolyard and more.
Some of the posts that strike me as being more meaningful and more interesting are now being listed on the sidebar. The list may change, it may stay static, I don’t know. But I wanted a place to display some of the posts that I think merit a second look, not by you, but by me. They are areas that I wish to explore further and maybe you will too, I don’t know.

You are always welcome to suggest posts to list, I would be happy to hear your input. As to the font issue I am not sure what that is.
I use a 20 inch monitor at home and a 17 at the office and they both look fine to me. I’ll see what I can do.

Good idea to highlight some of your best entries on the side. I like that. But you’ve only listed a few and there are so many other great ones! Can we vote on what should be added to that list? 🙂
Also, I don’t like the new font of your recent posts from last night. It is harder on the eyes. If you can’t see the difference, click on one of the blogs in your new sidebar section and you’ll see the font those were done in.
