She Should Have Stuck to Professional Wrestling

Barbara Bush is currently in search for her common sense as it was accidentally misplaced or replaced with rocks.

I am referring to the mother of the current president who if my memory does not fail me was once portrayed on Saturday Night Live as a professional wrestler. This is so insensitive and so stupid. What the hell is she thinking.

“NEW YORK Accompanying her husband, former President George
H.W.Bush, on a tour of hurricane relief centers in
Houston, Barbara Bush said today, referring to the
poor who had lost everything back home and evacuated, “This is working very well for them.”

The former First Lady’s remarks were aired this
evening on American Public Media’s “Marketplace”
program.

She was part of a group in Houston today at the
Astrodome that included her husband and former
President Bill Clinton, who were chosen by her son,
the current president, to head fundraising efforts for
the recovery. Sen. Hilary Clinton and Sen. Barack
Obama were also present.

In a segment at the top of the show on the surge of
evacuees to the Texas city, Barbara Bush said: “Almost
everyone I’ve talked to says we’re going to move to
Houston.”

Then she added: “What I’m hearing which is sort of
scary is they all want to stay in Texas. Everyone is
so overwhelmed by the hospitality.

“And so many of the people in the arena here, you
know, were underprivileged anyway, so this–this (she
chuckles slightly) is working very well for them.”

    Dear Mr. Jack–

Mrs. Bush is right– the evacuees were better off na dhtings did work out well for them.

Their choice was to stay in flooded NOLA and catch dysentery?

If people can’t (or won’t) take care of themselves, they’re sort of dependent on others to help them. Complaining about the help you receive is, well… not very gracious.

That is terrible. It’s no wonder her son is such mess.

Totally unrelated: Have you ever noticed she looks like the Quaker Oats Man?

Babs just doesn’t get it — I’m sure she figures they can all just hop on their private planes and head to the Cape while their new luxury homes in Houston are being built. What a lark for them!

We wondered where Bush Jr. learned his compassion.

Dude, that ol’ heifer ain’t from Texas. She’s from the tony suburb of Rye, New York. None o’ them Bushies are natives. Bunch of yankees, the lot.

It must be the Texan side.

She’s always had a bit of a mean streak, ol’ Babs. It just shows how nearly impossible it is for that crew to grasp the realities of those earning less than $100,000 a year.

And yes, I actually do have work to do today.
