Kudos For the JIBs

You know there is a lot of crap floating around the bowl regarding the JIBS. I am among those who have written about them, primarily voicing my distaste over how some bloggers have behaved. But I want to make a couple of things clear.

First, they have my full support. I think that they serve a good purpose and that some of the shenanigans are a result of growing pains and some are a result of foolish people.

Second, I want to commend Aussie Dave for bringing these about. In spite of having the bad taste to admit that he enjoys second rate football and the funny accent with which he speaks English he is a good guy. Ok, let me take that back, the thing about the funny accent. I actually kind of like an Australian accent. It certainly is superior to that nasally Long Island thing and a step above detroit and cleveland. 😉

I haven’t had a lot of time to read through all of the nominees but I hope to discover some new and interesting blogs. Thank you Dave, in spite of all of the nonsense you should be proud of what you have done.

I think the JIB awards are a fine idea too, why not reward some bloggers, most don’t make a penny yet invest a lot of time in their blogs.
I kind a like Australian accents too, as long as I don’t have to hear more than three or four sentences in a row.
