Rest in Peace Wilson Pickett

RESTON, Virginia (AP) — Wilson Pickett, the soul pioneer best known for the fiery hits “Mustang Sally” and “In The Midnight Hour,” died of a heart attack Thursday in a Reston, Virginia, hospital, according to his management company. He was 64.”

It was while watching The Commitments that I first really got into artists like Pickett and Otis Redding.

I thought you were going to say you learned the news while watching the Commitments. Now that would have been a little freaky. That is a great movie and some really fun songs to groove to. It’s seems that the soul train is moving on with the legends on board. A sad loss.
