Someone Is Stealing My Content

During the almost two years in which I have been blogging there have been relatively few moments in which I have been irritated by another blogger. Generally those experiences were brief and were caused because of what I saw as moral turpitude. These were bloggers who advocated murder as being an appropriate solution to political conflicts or folks who approved of other depraved acts.

On the whole these moments have been limited because I am usually not all that surprised by how bad or how good people can be. Humans have an amazing capacity to hurt others and an incredible ability to help and heal. It is part of what makes life so interesting to me.

Aside from the aforementioned moments I really haven’t complained much about other bloggers. But today that changes, because today I am irked about my work being plagiarized by someone else.

Within the blogosphere I think that it is perfectly fine to link to and cite the work of other bloggers. Blogging should be interactive. The interactivity is part of its strength. Plagiarism is not.

I am not going to provide a link to the pissant who thinks that they can pawn off my work as their own. I readily admit that I am bothered by your theft of my content. If you like what you see, you can link to it. You can email me and ask if it is ok to use the entire post on your blog. But it is not ok to try and pass it off as your own and believe me changing two sentences in an 800 word post is not enough to make it yours.

I am asking that you take those posts down or that you give me proper credit. Be an adult and take some responsibility here.
