A Cell Phone Question
Hi Folks,
I am going to rely upon the wisdom of the masses. I need to get a new cell phone and am debating between the The Sprint PCS VisionSM Smart Device PPC-6700 and the Treoâ„¢ 700p by Palm.
I am curious. Does anyone have any experience with either of these phones and if so, what are your thoughts?

Service provides vary from place to place. In LA Cingular has been problematic.

My MIL has the Treo, I believe, and really likes it.
Better Q – why would anyone have Sprint!? My parents do, but that’s because they don’t have to have a contract and they pay like $25/month, but otherwise… ugh. Verizon or Cingular, my man.

Why are you using Sprint? I only use Verizon and all of their phones have been great so far.

I can’t say much about the Sprint PCS smartphone, but I have the Treo 650 (palm based) and am very happy with it. I would strongly suggest it — just make sure you get a good case for it as I had several friends who had to have the screen replaced because it got cracked (it’s a big screen). It also pays to get the insurance on the phone (an extra $5 a month).
