Web Rage

I meant to share this a long time ago.

Paul Gibbons, 47, tracked down John Jones using details obtained online after the pair exchanged insults in an internet chatroom, a court heard.

He travelled 70 miles to Mr Jones’ home in Clacton, Essex, and beat him up with a pickaxe handle in December 2005.

Gibbons, of Southwark, south London, admitted unlawful wounding and will be sentenced on 7 November.

Anonymity has its advantages.

Nobody’s truely anonymous. Anyone determined to do harm can track down your IP address and find you.

    Have a nice day.

    Hi Alan,

Some of the people you mentioned most certainly deserve a good thumping.

    Dear Jack,

Such is the price that Mr. Jones seems to have paid for indulging in the pervasive cretinism that flourishes in the chatrooms!

Not that I condone the use of bludgeoning as a means by which to settle “inter-chatter” disputation! … though i would support an exemption that would guarentee legal impunity to those who bludgeon nazis and other assorted misanthopes and Jew haters!

    I remain …

    Very Sincerely yours,

    Alan D. Busch
