Top Crimes of the Century

I always enjoy looking at these sorts of lists. You know, the top movies, athletes, places to live etc. Anyhoo, Time Magazine has a list of what they term as the Top 25 Crimes Of The Century. Obviously this is one of those lists that you hope never to be on.

If you review the list there are quite a few incidents that have taken place within recent memory. This begs the question of whether the measurement was impacted by the authors of the list having lived through these moments.

I would argue that it has. I don’t claim to be a crime historian, but I am sure that if I spent a moment I would come up with a few that are not on this list. But that is the thing, this is subjective.

Here are some of the crimes that they list:

Lindbergh Kidnapping
The Black Dahlia
Columbine
O.J.
Mona Lisa

What do you think?

The four-dollar cup of coffee. Well, it SHOULD be a crime!
