Wanted the girl who loved the boy who wrote the words below. Take my hand and remember what was still is and can be again…

I had a dream. I dreamt of a place that I had never been to but always wanted to live in. You were there and your arms welcomed me to a place that until then had always lived inside me. You unlocked the passion and the fire that burns inside me.

You helped me to remember that love is meant to sting, that to be apart is to feel an ache that no drug can touch and to be together is to know the meaning of union.

You are my drug of choice, an addiction that I cannot give up. My air and my blood, the wind that fills my sails and were I to lose you I would be forced to revisit that dark place that I used to live in. I would be hollow inside, an empty shell and who knows what might choose to occupy that place.

I knew the day that we kissed that life was going to be different. Few people understand because so few have had the experience and even then few walk that path. When you walk through fire you risk being burned but you also open yourself up to untold rewards.

When just holding hands brings incredible pleasure, when whispers and caresses offer the height of joy and passion there is something special.

When I kissed you I felt your legs go weak and I held you tightly but I was not concerned because my arms were made for holding you tight and feeling your heart beat against mine gives me all the strength that I require.

I had a dream that became reality.

This was based upon the following prompt:

This week’s assignment was to write a personal ad, looking for love.

It could be from the perspective of a character, or one for you or someone you know.

The word limit was 300.

Excellent writing, but that poor boy is in for a rude awakening someday.

It is very intense – I think it might freak me out a little. Then again, there is something about a passionate guy..

I’ve never in my life seen a personal ad like that one before Jack! Wow!!!

I know you said this was your assignment so I hope you got top recognition for that one.

I’d definitely be checking out the guy who wrote that one if I found that in an ad. You do have a wonderful way with words. I agree with Julie, it would make a great romance novel.

You aced that assignment in my book! Yep!

That was some great romantic fiction. Perfect for a contemporary romance novel, as was suggested. Laugh if you must, but some of the women there really rake it in. It would be refreshing to have a male author to provide a fresh twist in the genre.

    Hi Jack,

I’ve been AWOL for the past week and I have a lot of reading/catching up to do. Your place is a great place to start. LOVE the personal ad….if that didn’t get “takers”, nothing would. My other favorite image was “you are my drug of choice, an addiction…” That describes raw love so well.

Okay…I’m off to fill my head with more imagery…thanks for another wonderful visit.

@SocialMediaDDS Hi Claudia. It is no secret, but I am a fan of that raw emotion. The fire and flame always holds my attention.

Sounds like you need to stop working on crowns, fillings and bridges and focus on blogging. Work time is over now. 😉

Good to see you here again, thank you for the kind words.

Jack – when it comes to writing, you’re flat out a jack of all trades! Your writing ability is truly a gift. I haven’t been around in the comments as of late…but I’ve been reading you’re work religously via RSS.

    Hope you’re well today sir!

@Jk Allen Hi JK. How are things? It is good to see you. I try to write about a lot of different topics and genres for the purpose of being that jack of all trades. The goal is to be able to handle anything people throw out at me. It is tied into being the hustler and opportunist you write about.

I am lucky to have been given some ability and appreciative of it. Always good to see you here. Hope you are having a great day!

If it’s a competition Jack, I hope you win for this one! That seems like a lot of fun! HOW do you find time to do this and blog as often as you do!?!??!! Whatever you’ve got I want some of it!

@Lori Hi Lori. I don’t sleep as much as I should and I compose faster than most. I also use drafts and fragments of old stories to weave new tales.

These prompts are fun. It is a good community that would welcome you if you wanted to participate.

This aches of romance; I think it’s an interesting take on the prompt. I’ve never dated on-line, and I can’t decide if something like this would draw me in or scare me off 🙂

    • TheJackB September 23, 2011 at 11:25 am

@tiaras-and-trucks It is probably a bit intense for an opening, but the characters in this story are also pretty intense so who knows. I can’t speak for women, but I could see man writing it.

This one made me melt. The description of their passion is so real, so achingly beautiful. I especially loved this line:

“You are my drug of choice…”

    Nicely written!

Romance novels? I think you’d make a killing! Wouldn’t that be hilarious?

    • TheJackB September 23, 2011 at 11:31 am

@BetsyKCross Betsy, I honestly haven’t ever thought of writing those, but I suppose that I could. That would be pretty funny. People who know me would laugh pretty hard at that.

Woww… you’re definitely a pro at writing superb personal ad! That was quite something!

I’m sure a personal ad like THAT would elicit tons of responses.
