Congrats on the traffic increase… always a good thing, except of course the technical problems that did follow…. it is ironic. Whoever thought too much traffic can be bad thing..eh? 🙂

I hated middle school… was bullied! But yes, here’s hoping your kids just have good memories and moments to look forward to!

Sorry to hear you were bullied. I think many of us had some pretty rough moments in those days. Of course I am keeping my fingers crossed now that my kids won’t, but we shall see.

You definitely need your beauty sleep now that we can see your mug at that other place. Life does get in the way at times, so just do what you can.

Congrats on the increased traffic; whatever is driving it. Free beer maybe?

How cool for you to get that traffic spike from the FB page! Congrats on that 🙂

My son started school this week too so I feel your pain — just read the post about feeling older when our kids are growing up. Funny you talked about being old in this audio. I have no brilliant poetic words for this feeling except ‘Sucks, don’t it?’

I just came up for air (working on that project I emailed you about) and got caught up on some of your latest posts. I wanted to ask you about the Yeah Write links. You’re now the second blogger I’ve seen connected to this site. I’m very curious about this type of community – can you tell me a little more about what this is?

I got lucky with that link. Some of the people that found me have stuck around so I am extra grateful. It was a very good thing, this link that is.

There are moments where aging feels like a pretty damn good thing and then some where…not so much. 😉

Glad to hear you were able to find time to come out from the work cocoon.

Yeah Write (http://yeahwrite.me) is a really nice community of writers. Every week we put together posts on different topics and then submit them to one of two grids.

The challenge grid is where you send your best stuff. The community reads all of the posts and then votes for whichever ones they think are the best.

Alternatively you can use the hangout grid and link up for fun. There isn’t any voting on that one.

Either way it is a nice excuse to write and meet other bloggers.

Jack, have you ever thought about doing video? I don’t know if anyone else knows what you look like in cyberspace but I bet I’m not the only one who wonders. Is it part of you mystique to remain physically anonymous?

Since you love to post links to music I though this lyric would be a good one for today. Do you know this (old, old, old)?

“When I was back there in seminary school there was a person there that put forth the proposition that you can petition the lord with prayer.”

Anyway, I hope things went well on the first day back to school. Man, that’s early. Around these parts it’s not until Sept 4.
