It is official, Aussie Dave of Israelly cool is hosting the JIB awards again. Here is a little description from his site.

“For the second year running, I am proud to present to you the JIB Awards.
The word JIB, besides being an acronym for Jewish and Israeli blog, also represents the small triangular sail of a sailboat, as compared to the main sails. The jib’s role is to direct the wind into the main sail, just like a role of Jewish, Israeli, and pro-Israel bloggers is to direct world opinion in favor of Israel. And to really stretch the metaphor, the object of these awards is to direct new readers towards Jewish, Israeli, and pro-Israel blogs.
While weblog awards of this kind mean little in the grand scheme of things, they are a fun way to increase blog readership, and, in the case of the JIB Awards, promote Jewish, Israeli, and pro-Israel blogs.
Last year’s awards attracted hundreds of blog nominations, generating much buzz and excitement in the Jewish Blogosphere, and even attracting attention from the blog community at large. This year, the competition promises to be even more exciting, as the Jewish and Israeli blog world has at least doubled in size since last year, and is continuing to grow.
In addition, I am proud to inform you that I have been able to secure the involvement of the Jerusalem Post this year. The Post has agreed to host all of the voting, and promote the awards on their website, a move that should guarantee even more publicity and attention directed towards the Jewish and pro-Israel blogosphere.”

I didn’t win a thing, but I was nominated and was pleased to be a part of the group. Please note that if you look to nominate any blogs you need to nominate the Shmata Queen as she needs more recognition. Those midwesterners have a lot of challenges and someone from the burning river faces even more.
