Women do have feelings, but alas, not souls.

I think men could be more rational about their feelings and don’t necessarily express them as women do, which doesn’t mean they arent in touch with them…Men seem to be able to make sense of it all in a logical way as women tend to be more emotional is expressing them (like me). Nothing worse than having an emotional episode when I am feeling something strong and having a guy stand there and tell me word for word, exactly what is going on with me in logical terms.

    Ezzie,

    😉

    Rafi,

    Makes sense to me.

    Sea,

Nothing wrong with being nurturing and or caring.

    Yael,

    Rafi is a smart guy.

    Paula,

    😉

    Annie,

    Without a doubt.

    JT,

Socialization is a big part of it. But I suspect that as we get older it grows tougher for people to use our feelings against us. And if they do, well we can always beat them over the head with something. 😉

    Miriam,

Grunt or sniffle. Not much of a choice if you ask me.

    HH,

    🙂

    Rebel,

Sports is about life, important stuff.

    HH,

I want the standard fee for setting up a successful shidduch. 😉

    KRG,

I think that blogging does a good job of helping people figure it all out.

No. Lots of women like to think so though. IMO, neither women nor men are very good at knowing how they are feeling.

    Rebel

    Will you marry me?

I am a woman but I would never watch:

Lifetime TV (channel for women) – romantic movies, sad movies, couples, relationship advice.

I don’t wanna insult anyone but that stuff is very B.O.R.I.N.G!!!!

    I rather watch instead

Spike TV (channel for guys) – cars blowing up, trucks crashing, machine guns and Ultimate Fighting. And probably sports: hockey, soccer, baseball, football. yay! 🙂

Its kind of like what Ezzie said. We manly men are just in touch with our feelings, its just women think its a chiyuv d’orita to share and ponder everything.

Spike TV (channel for guys) – cars blowing up, trucks crashing, machine guns and Ultimate Fighting. Viewers are encouraged to grunt.

Lifetime TV (channel for women) – romantic movies, sad movies, couples, relationship advice. Viewers are encouraged to get out their handkerchiefs.

I think they are equally in touch with their feelings. But, women are more permitted to be open. If a women is open with her feelings with a man, it is his role to be supportive and understanding. Men know that if they are fully open with their feelings, that will be used against him in some way.

  10. Annie June 5, 2007 at 3:04 pm

I think that women are socialized to be more open about their feelings.

“Sure, men have feelings too. But, like, who cares?”

I forget where I first read that!

  12. Yael June 5, 2007 at 1:29 pm

    I agree with rafi g

  13. seawitch June 5, 2007 at 11:48 am

    ezzie, LOL!

I think women are more in tune with their feelings than men. It helps us to be more emphatic toward others and makes us want to nurture and care for others.

  14. Rafi G June 5, 2007 at 8:06 am

I do not think they are more “in touch” with their feelings, simply they are more open about them…

  15. Ezzie June 5, 2007 at 7:59 am

No. If they would be, they wouldn’t need to talk about them so much. 😛
