The Traveling Jack Tour Bus is just about to leave for the airport so that we can go share joy, mirth and merriment across the country. Of course that means that Old Jack has to go sit inside a stuffed tin can for a few hours, but that is ok.
I have got a window seat, book and movies and music to accompany me. Not to mention snacks, can’t forget the snacks because if you do it will cost you $35.00 for a stale bagel with shmear on it.
Anyhoo, I make make the odd appearance around the blogosphere later today but I wouldn’t expect to see anything new from me until late tomorrow night or maybe Tuesday.

Be excellent and I will see you later. Got a plane to catch and I don’t run like the wind anymore. Â 😉
I always wanted to take the Orient Express. For some reason this post made me think of that. =)
 @jonbuscall Me too. I always thought that it would be great fun. It is on my list of things to do.
 @jonbuscall me too 🙂
Up, up and away; best of luck on your journey and here’s to no $35 bagel shmears…………
 @bdorman264 Nope, no $35 bagel shmears- just a couple of bucks for water. 😉
I love planes! I also used to love airplane food…back in the day! My favorite part was deplaning and walking down the stairs onto the hot tarmac and humid air of the tropics. I don’t like how tunnels connect the pane to the airport now.Â
That’s all I have to say about traveling. Enjoy the trip. Have a grand adventure!
 @CrossBetsy Hi Betsy,
Â
I used to enjoy walking the stairs too. They still do it at one of our local airports so sometimes I get to “revisit” the past. Airplane food is a different story, not a fan.
Hi Jack,Â
Â
Good luck, keeping my fingers crossed and thinking of you!
 @Late_BloomersÂ
Â
Thank you Barbara.It was a good trip, no news yet.
When I’m travelling I don’t feel eating. It makes me sick. 🙁
Â
 @heines I understand. On days when I fly I am cautious about what I eat.
Hi Jack,
Â
“Stuffed tin can” about sums it up 😉 My In-laws used to only be concerned with how many miniatures they could sneak on the flight 😉 How many did you get by TSA?Â
Â
Hope you have (had) a safe trip.Â
 @Craig McBreen Hi Craig,
Â
The TSA paid special attention to me this trip. Always fun to be groped, but I would rather them check than not so I didn’t mind…much.
Â
Technically I think there actions may mean that in certain countries we would be married, but I am not sure…
Have a good trip Jack. I always buy way too much snacks when I travel, and at the same time I am always worrying that I need to go to the toilet… that’s a catch 22 isn’t it? 🙂
 @Jens I buy too much snacks and then worry too! I think its a pattern… I promise myself I won’t…. but then, the peanuts and chips makes it difficult to say no to!
 @Hajra  I always promise myself that I won’t eat much too, but when I’m traveling I eat a lot more than I do when I’m not 🙂
 @Jens Yup and they have a McDonalds at every airport I travel through….darn it!
 @Jens Hi Jens,
I have a dysfunctional digestive system, so I am always aware of what I eat and where the restrooms are. Probably more information than you wanted, but… 😉
 @TheJackB it’s not too much information, just keep it coming 🙂
I’m sending you snacks. Good ones. Have a great time, wherever it is you’re headed (I probably missed that somewhere along the line) Cheers! Kaarina
 @KDillaboughÂ
Hi Kaarina,
Â
Snacks are always good, especially Finnish pancakes. Ok, I haven’t had any of those yet but one of these days…
 @TheJackB  @KDillabough I lived in Finland for three years and LOVED Finnish pancakes. Pirog are awesome too. I think I had them for lunch nearly every day :=)
 @jonbuscall  @TheJackB You know Jon, with my Olympic/sports involvement I’ve had the opportunity to travel all over the world, but I’ve not yet been to Finland, where my parents are from. I spoke Finnish before I learned English, and have been told wonderful tales of the Land of the Midnight Sun. I.am.jealous:)))) And I will make Finnish pancakes for you too:)
 @TheJackB I will make some for you…anytime:)
Have a safe and comfortable flight, Jack.
 @Faryna Thank you Stan. The way out was good, coming home…less good.
